Vinous Comment - Score: 89 (2019 May)

The 2001 Filhot shows better on the nose than a couple of years ago with scents of honey, whisked egg whites and orange blossom. It is not intense but it shows some detail and more freshness than I expected. The palate is well balanced with a tang of marmalade and quince on the entry. It feels quite linear in the mouth and it cuts away rather swiftly, though I appreciate the spicy notes here and it feels fresh. Tasted at the vertical tasting at Château Filhot.
